When I think of Tom Robinson I think of Denzel Washington. I think that it is because that is what I picture him looking like in the book. They both are hard working men and it seems to me that in almost all of Denzel's movies he is the underdog. Tom is the underdog in his case. They never seem to be give up and Tom is going to fight and fight until they force him to stop which is just what Denzel's characters do in his movies.

This is a horrible comparison. Tom has an arm that is messed up and Denzel has to perfect arms. The only way that I can think to compare them is with Denzel’s movie Remember the Titians. In it he suffers lots of prejudiced and racial discrimination like tom is.

Yeah too bad Tom only has one arm nubesauce. I think the only real comparable similarity between the two is that they are both black. And that's about where the comparisons stop. I would compare Tom Robinson more to one of those humble black slaves that says, "Yessa Massa. I swears I did'n do nuddin massa. Please'um don hurt me a massa."

I agree that this comparison could't be more wrong. First of all, Denzel is rarely the underdog in his films. He is always the powerful leader that makes things happen. He would never be shot for running away because he would always succeed. I don't believe Tom makes things happen for himself. I think that because he was raised a black man in the 1930's that he always did what he was told.
