Scout and the ham

This picture of a ham doesn't look anything like Scout's ham costume, but it reminded me of Scout and the production. Scout ruined the whole production because she balled up her body in the ham costume and decided to take a little snoozer. She was late for coming out on the stage and was unable to perform in the production. Even though the costume was rediculous looking, I guess that was the best that they could get it, and it doesn't change the fact that the ham costume made me hungry when I saw it! I guess thats a plus! Go HAM!

The Fence..

This looked like the fence described in the book when Tom Robinson tried to escape. Because of his arm he was unsuccesful. This fence looks very hard to climb in a certian amount of time with guards ready to shoot at any minute. Do you think Tom Robinson would have escaped if he had two good arms?

Hey You Guys!

Ewell's House

This is sort of what I think that the Ewell's house looks like. It should be really run down and trashy. This house may and probably is a lot nicer than the Ewells house, which tells you how crappy it would look like.

Mr. Raymond, Drunk?

So in reality, Mr. Raymond was not drinking an alcoholic beverage after all. I was not totally shocked, but his reason in acting drunk, and eluding everyone to assume that he was drinking liqueur did surprise me. Of course, I understand exactly what he is going through. I have been doing something similar with my lifestyle, just to cover up the truth. Would you do it? Have you ever done it?

IN THE END!

overall, the book was sort of interesting, and it had some good parts. it really captured the whole lifestyle and feel of the era. it provoked some thought about rascism and in my opinion really pushed the boundaries of rascism when it was written. do you think this book is a classic that will live on for all time?
